Momen Hassan

Momen Hassan is a seasoned engineer specializing in system safety and engineering within the automotive and robotics sectors. Currently serving as a Principal System Safety Engineer at Outrider since July 2023, Momen leads the Safety Case for autonomous yard trucks. Prior experience includes roles as Lead Functional Safety & Systems Engineering at Saietta Electric Drive, where Momen managed teams focused on Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and Systems Engineering. Momen's background also encompasses a position as a System & Safety Engineer with Valeo, where contributions were made to automated driving platforms, as well as project management and various engineering roles during a postgraduate program at Eindhoven University of Technology. Additional expertise was gained through earlier positions at Ceres Space Technology Centre, A Automation & Robotic Systems, and Exemplar Engineering Training Centre. Momen holds an Engineering Doctorate in Automotive System Design from Eindhoven University of Technology, a Master's in Automotive Mechatronics from Cranfield University, and a Bachelor's in Electronics Engineering from Sudan University of Science and Technology.
