Joana Carvalho

Joana Carvalho, CPSM, LLM, is an accomplished professional in strategic sourcing and procurement with extensive experience across multiple organizations. At Outset Medical, Inc., Joana serves as Director of Strategic Sourcing and previously held the role of Senior Manager in the same department, earning recognition with the Outset Grit Award. Prior to this, Joana worked at BD as a Senior Global Category Manager, where two Gold Awards were received from the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO). Joana's background also includes roles at Nypro, DJO, and Smiths Medical, showcasing a consistent track record of excellence and recognition including multiple CPO awards. Joana holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the University of Southern California, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Economics from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and in Corporate Law and International Trade from Colegio Superior de Ciencias Jurídicas, S.C.
