Michael Aragon

Dr. Michael Aragon is the Chief Medical Officer at Outset Medical. Michael is a highly experienced nephrologist and has served in various leadership roles over the course of their career.

Dr. Aragon began their career as a Medical Director at U.S. Renal Care. Michael then moved to Baylor Medical Center Grapevine, where they served as Acute Dialysis Medical Director. In 2012, they became President of JAMN Partners LLC, a position they held for seven years.

In July 2012, Dr. Aragon joined DaVita Kidney Care as Medical Director for Peritoneal and Incenter Dialysis. Michael was later promoted to Medical Director for Peritoneal, Incenter, and Nocturnal Incenter Dialysis, Home Hemodialysis. Michael remained in this role until they joined Outset Medical in 2019.

Throughout their career, Dr. Aragon has been committed to providing high-quality patient care. Michael is a skilled physician with a deep understanding of the kidney and its functions. Michael is also an excellent leader and communicator, with a proven track record of successful team-building and problem-solving.

Michael Aragon has a Fellowship from UTHealth in Renal Diseases and Hypertension, an Internal Medicine Residency Program from UTHealth, an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Internship from UTHealth, a Doctor of Medicine - MD from UTHealth, and a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Biology, General from Texas A&M University. Michael is certified from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Board Certification of Internal Medicine and from - in Board Certified in Nephrology.
