Elyse Rylander

Elyse Rylander is an accomplished professional in the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, currently serving as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Outward Bound USA since May 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Manager of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Quality Bicycle Products and Partnership Manager at Camber Outdoors. Elyse has also held positions such as Partner at The Avarna Group, Executive Director at OUT There Adventures, and Lead Sea Kayaking Guide at Pangaea Adventures. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies, Gender and Women's Studies, and LGBT Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Arts in Adventure Education from Prescott College, and ongoing studies toward a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management at Eastern Washington University.
