Lee B. Skold retired as corporate vice president of Cargill in July 2012, serving in this role since his election in September 2004. He was a platform leader for Cargill's animal protein and salt businesses, responsible for the company's poultry and value-added meat processing and marketing operations in Europe, Asia and Latin America, and its U.S. Pork businesses.

Skold joined Cargill in 1976 as a financial analyst with the financial information services department. Skold became a controller for Cargill leasing in 1978, and in 1980 he became vice president and general manager for the division. In 1982 he became controller and later became area supervisor for the animal nutrition division. From 1984-to 1986 Skold assumed responsibility for Cargill's life, property and casualty reinsurance businesses. He transferred to England in 1987 as managing director of Sun Valley Europe. Skold returned to the U.S. in July 1996 and acquired supervisory responsibility for Cargill's poultry businesses in Central America and Thailand, as well as Sunny Fresh Foods.

Skold was an executive sponsor of the Salvation Army Harbor Light Project at Cargill. In addition to being a former Chairman and current member of the OBUSA Board of Directors, Lee formerly served as a board member for the University of Minnesota Carlson School Board of Overseers and has been a member of the Guthrie Theater board since 2009, serving on the finance and investment committees and as former Chairman.

Skold received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1974 from the University of Minnesota. In 1976 he earned a master's degree in business administration from the same university.
