Sharad Varshney

Sharad Varshney has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Sharad is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of OvalEdge, a company that focuses on providing easy and efficient access to big data for analysts. Prior to OvalEdge, Sharad worked as a Systems Architect at Hortonworks, where they designed and implemented Hadoop clusters for major customers across various sectors. Sharad also mentored the infrastructure, operations, and development teams to ensure efficient implementation of Hadoop. Before joining Hortonworks, Sharad worked as a Solution Architect at Cohesive Information Solutions, Inc., where they played a crucial role in the growth of the company and executed critical projects as a Maximo Application Architect. Sharad also worked as a Maximo Integration Specialist at TXU/Capgemini Energy and as a Software Engineer/Database Architect at GE Energy/Birlasoft. Sharad started their career as a Project Lead/Software Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services.

Sharad Varshney earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Doctor Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University from 1994 to 1998. Sharad also obtained a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Nuclear Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur from 1998 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Sharad Varshney has obtained certifications in Apache Hadoop Administration from Cloudera and Hortonworks, as well as an Apache Hadoop Developer certification from Hortonworks.
