Zane Schafer

Zane Schafer is the current Vice President of Engineering at Ovation.io. Zane has been in this role for 2 years and 2 months. Prior to their current position, they were the Vice President of Software Engineering at Apptio for 8 years and 8 months. There, they were responsible for IT financial modeling and management products, as well as the market creation of "Technology Business Management". Zane also oversaw data science and machine learning initiatives, and led the engineering exec team for cross-suite capabilities and testing. Before joining Apptio, they were with CA Technologies for 4 years, first as SVP of Software Engineering for 2 years, then as VP of Software Engineering for an additional 2 years. Prior to CA Technologies, they were with Niku for 6 years as VP of Development. Before Niku, they were with ABT for 6 years in various leadership roles in software development. Zane has been in the software development industry for over 20 years and has held various leadership positions during that time.

Zane Schafer attended the University of California, Davis from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a BS and AB in Applied Mathematics (Economics) and Spanish. Zane was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
