Biniam Yohannes is an experienced finance professional currently serving as a Senior Advisor in the Office of Equity and Investment Funds at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation since September 2022. Previously, Biniam co-founded and worked as a Managing Director at Catalyst Principal Partners from 2009 to 2022, where a $275 million private equity fund was established to focus on strategic equity investments across eastern and southern Africa. Biniam's earlier experience includes a role as Vice President at Goldman Sachs from 2000 to 2009, concentrating on principal investments, mergers and acquisitions, and project and infrastructure finance in the United States. Biniam holds a Master of Engineering Management from Dartmouth College's Thayer School of Engineering and Amos Tuck School of Business, along with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mathematics and French from Dartmouth College and Saint Anselm College, respectively.
