Larry Sacks

Larry Sacks currently serves as Chief Development Officer at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation since August 2023. Prior to this role, Larry held several key positions at USAID, including Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance from July 2022 to July 2023 and Mission Director for USAID Colombia from August 2017 to July 2022. Larry's extensive experience also includes positions as Mission Director and Deputy Mission Director in USAID El Salvador, and Justice and Citizen Security Office Director in USAID Mexico, managing significant portfolios related to security initiatives. Larry began with USAID as Deputy Director of the Office of Democratic Initiatives in Peru and has experience leading teams in democratic governance efforts in Romania. Larry holds a Master's degree in Comparative Democratization and Human Rights from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from The University of Texas at Austin.
