Pooja L.

Pooja L. is an accomplished legal professional with diverse experience in human rights and legal practice. Currently serving as Deputy Head of Cases and Policy at the Oversight Board since September 2020, Pooja previously held the role of Senior Case Development Officer in the same organization. Prior experience includes positions as a Research Officer at the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative and a Professional Legal Volunteer at the Cambodian Center for Human Rights. Pooja also worked as a Legal Adviser in the Office of Human Rights Proceedings at the New Zealand Human Rights Commission and as a Solicitor at Bell Gully. Early career roles include Judicial Assistant at the UK Supreme Court and Secondee Trainee Solicitor at BP, following a traineeship at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Pooja holds a degree in Law with French Law from the University of Oxford.
