Fiona Spruill

Fiona Spruill is the Chief Product Officer at Overstory, a startup that is committed to reducing food waste and promoting a sustainable lifestyle. Fiona has a long history of working with startups, and their experience spans across multiple industries. Fiona has served as a board member for the Center on Rural Innovation, an organization dedicated to bringing sustainable economic success to rural America. Fiona has also been an advisor for various startups, providing guidance on product and business strategy, roadmap planning, execution, cross-team collaboration and hiring the right people. Prior to joining Overstory, Fiona served as Chief Operating Officer at Meetup from January 2014 to February 2019. In this role, Fiona oversaw Meetup's four business units and was responsible for setting company strategy and goals, as well as executing against them. Fiona led a team of 90 people, including all of product, design, business strategy and sales. Fiona also managed finance and legal after the CFO departed.

Fiona Spruill has a BA in Public Policy from Duke University, and is currently a Fellow in the Punch Sulzberger Program at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
