Madison Stebbins has a diverse work experience. Madison began their career in 2010 as a Senior Park Monitor at Outdoor Ventures. In 2013, they worked as a Maps Division Research and Editing Intern at National Geographic. That same year, they also worked as a Geographical Information Systems Teacher's Assistant at Middlebury College. From 2014-2016, Madison worked as a Wildland Firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service. In 2018, they began working as an Advanced Lead Field Mentor & Adventure Programming Instructor at Elements Traverse. Most recently, they have been working at Overstory since 2022 as a Sales Development and Wildfire Consultant.
Madison Stebbins attended Middlebury College from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography. In 2013, they also attended the University of Otago, studying Geography and Cartography. In addition, Madison has obtained several certifications, including a Certified Single Pitch Instructor from the American Mountain Guides Association in July 2020, a State of Maryland Emergency Medical Technician, a Type II Sawyer from the US Forest Service, a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician from the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI), and a Wildland Firefighter Type I/Incident Commander Type VI Trainee from the US Forest Service.
