Zachary Overton has been working in the industry since 2012. Zachary began their career at Overton Industries as Division Manager and then moved to Sales & Applications Engineer. In 2017, they transitioned to Operations Manager, where their goals were to improve the overall scheduling of jobs on the floor and reducing the effect of the ever-increasing amount of "rush" jobs, as well as focusing on continuous improvement and incremental change. Zachary also served as Sales & Marketing Coordinator, where they helped to develop and implement new sales and marketing strategies.

In 2021, Zachary joined the Board of Directors at the Indiana Manufacturers Association, and from 2015 to 2021 they were a Board Member of INTMA.

In 2009, Zachary joined the Board of Directors at League of Miracles, Inc., a not for profit group in Mooresville, Indiana dedicated to bringing the joy of sports to children with mental, physical, and emotional disabilities.

In 2011, Zachary began working at Major Tool & Machine as a Quality Inspector. Zachary gained experience in the inspection process and also spent time in Medium Production, learning about the processes and function of an automated machining cell.

Zachary Overton attended Culver Military Academy in 2002, followed by Mooresville High School from 2004 to 2006. Zachary then attended Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis from 2006 to 2010. After that, they attended NTMA-U from 2011 to 2014, where they earned an Associate of Science (AS) in Machine Tool Technology/Machinist. Zachary then attended Indiana University Bloomington from 2016 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Finally, they attended Harvard University from 2019 to 2020, where they earned a Master's Degree in Finance.
