Malle Carrasco-Harris, PhD, currently serves as Programs Manager at Overton Park Conservancy, where the focus is on envisioning and supporting educational, outreach, research, and development programs. Previous experience includes roles as a Sr. Research Analyst at AutoZone, where responsibilities involved market research and site selection, and as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Memphis, which included designing a significant research study and securing over $300,000 in funding. Malle has also worked as a biology teacher with Teach for America, has multiple research assistant positions in various laboratories, and holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Memphis, as well as a BS in Biology from Baylor University.

Overton Park Conservancy
Overton Park Conservancy is the nonprofit organization that manages Memphis' central green space, the iconic park that is woven through the cultural fabric of the city. Overton Park is Memphis' most visited municipal park, offering 342 acres of natural and cultural amenities that have been part of Memphians' stories since before the park opened in 1901. Relying on community support, the Conservancy invests in day-to-day management, capital improvements, and long-range planning to ensure Memphians have access to high-quality public space. We connect Memphians from all walks of life, offering a safe, welcoming, and active place for community to gather. We protect land that belongs to the people of Memphis, from the towering trees of the Old Forest to the open space of the Greensward.
