Manoj Malhotra, MD

Manoj Malhotra, MD has a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in various leadership roles. Manoj is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Ovid Therapeutics since 2023. Previously, they held the position of Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs at Eisai US from 2016 to 2022, where they represented medical affairs at various events and ensured appropriate medical input and review for promotional materials and publications. Prior to that, Dr. Malhotra worked as the Global Senior Medical Director at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals from 2013 to 2016, where they provided supervision and mentoring to a team and served as a therapeutic area resource. Manoj also has experience as a Senior Medical Director at Takeda Pharmaceuticals from 2012 to 2013, where they had direct interactions with regulatory agencies and served as a scientific team interface. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Medical Director at Novartis from 2007 to 2012, focusing on clinical development and medical affairs for multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Malhotra began their career in 2001 as the Chief of Neurology at Kaiser Permanente.

Manoj Malhotra, MD completed their medical education at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where they obtained their MD degree. Manoj then went on to complete their Neurology Residency Program at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, specializing in neurology.

In addition to their education, Dr. Malhotra has obtained several certifications in the field. Manoj is certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, holds a California Medical License from the State of California, and has obtained certifications in Clinical Neurophysiology, Epilepsy, Neurology, Sleep Medicine, and Vascular Neurology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. Furthermore, they also hold medical licenses from the States of Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio.
