Saihaj Virdee

Saihaj Virdee is a dedicated engineering student currently serving as a Student Production Engineer at Ovintiv since May 2025. Prior to this role, Saihaj held the position of Student Government Relations Engineer at Ovintiv from May 2023 to August 2024, where responsibilities included supporting the Canadian Government Relations team to advocate for policy and regulatory outcomes beneficial to the company's strategy. Earlier experiences include working as a Student Field Engineer focused on operations engineering and as a Meat Clerk/Cutter at Sobeys, where department management and adherence to health and safety protocols were key duties. Additionally, Saihaj contributed as a Starter/Backshop at Bearspaw Golf Club from April 2021 to September 2022. Currently, Saihaj is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Schulich School of Engineering, alongside a minor in Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development from the Haskayne School of Business, expected to graduate in 2026.
