Eric Dermond

CEO at OVL

Eric Dermond has over 30 years of experience in aviation and product support businesses, where he has held a number of executive and leadership roles.

In Milwaukee WI in December of 1979, Mr. Dermond founded Derco Aerospace, Inc., a family business that specialized in the distribution of aircraft parts to military users. As CEO at Derco, he grew the business from a start-up to more than $215 million in revenues by 2002. He was also instrumental in the creation of Derco Holdings, Inc., which was comprised of five separate companies providing spare parts, remanufacturing, maintenance support, and other services to numerous aerospace customers.

Having established Derco as a leading provider of parts and services within the aerospace industry, renowned for its quality products and customer responsiveness, Mr. Dermond led the negotiations in 2002 to sell Derco Holdings to Sikorsky Helicopter, a division of United Technologies. He acted as chairman of Derco for another two years, reporting to the Worldwide Customer Support division at Sikorsky.

Currently, he is the CEO of Optimum Vehicle Logistics (OVL), a distributor of genuine spare parts and services for military fleets and owners of tracked and wheeled vehicles around the world. OVL regularly sells to over 35 countries and has locations in Milwaukee and the Middle East. He is also a partner in Dermond Property Investments, a real estate development company.

Prior to his leadership roles at Derco and OVL, Mr. Dermond worked for NAPCO International in Hopkins, Minnesota. He is a 1976 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stout.
