Andrew Van Der Stock

Andrew Van Der Stock is the Executive Director at OWASP. Andrew was previously the CTO at Threat Intelligence Pty Ltd from November 2014 to June 2017.

At Threat Intelligence, Andrew helped build out the company's portfolio of services and defined agile delivery of modern services that global clients need. Andrew's background is in secure code review and security architecture, so they spent their days doing penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.

As the company grew, Andrew's goal was to make Threat Intelligence the first choice for out of the box thinkers - whether grads or hardened cynics - to want to come work for them, learn from them, and develop their careers as professional security consultants. Andrew wanted to create a different company culture that respected the unusual qualities that infosec giants possess, and harness those attributes for high performing engagements and high quality deliverables every time for their clients.

Andrew Van Der Stock has a type CS which is a computer science degree from RMIT University. Andrew also has a HSC in English, Physics, Maths A, Maths B, Chem, CS from Melbourne High School. Andrew is certified in Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) from (ISC)².
