Kris Skrinak

Kris Skrinak is a Business Advisor at Owaves. Kris previously worked as an EcoSystem Architect at GoPro from May 2015 to May 2017. In their role at GoPro, they worked with Product Management, Engineering, DevOps and QA to design and build GoPro Mobile, Desktop and Cloud Software. This included computer vision and deep learning tool integration including TensorFlow and other neural net training, developing cross-platform pub/sub communications models using MQTT, REST and native tools in Windows, OS X, Android and iOS, designing and troubleshooting using Qt Creator/C++, Xcode, Visual Studio, architecture specification on data repositories including Neo4J, SQL and NoSQL DBs, development of media tools and containers using H.264, CineForm, MP3, MP4, AVI and Quicktime, build and Test Driven development architecture development using git, translating product requirements into engineering specifications using Aha, JIRA and Confluence, creating technical designs including UML diagramming, concept development and implementation guidance for engineering teams, establishing, documenting and implementing technical standards, contributing to cross-functional teamwork at GoPro, creating #GoProLiveIt video for weekly publication as well as video marathon and hackathon leader.

Kris Skrinak started their educational career by obtaining a BS in Mathematics and Economics from King's College. Kris then furthered their studies by obtaining an MS in Computer Science from New York University.
