Christian Apeah has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Christian is currently working as the Head of Independent Engineering at OWC since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Vattenfall as an Integration Lead from July 2019 to August 2022 and as an Interface Manager from February 2019 to July 2019. Before Vattenfall, they worked at Wood as a Team Leader Technology - Principal Consultant from October 2017 to January 2019 and as a Team Leader Technology / Principal Consultant from October 2015 to September 2017. Christian also worked at DNV GL - Renewables (formerly GL Garrad Hassan) in multiple roles, including Project Engineer / Project Manager from an unknown start date to September 2015, Technical Consultant QA/QC from February 2012 to December 2014, Technical Consultant QA/QC - Project Engineer Offshore from February 2014 to July 2014, and as a Surveyor for wind turbine generators on- and offshore from an unknown start date to 2013. Furthermore, they worked at Motorrad-Centrum as a Mechanic from an unknown start date to 2004 and at World Cycling from July 2000 to January 2002, where they cycled around the world.
Christian Apeah has a diverse education history. From 1994 to 1998, they completed an apprenticeship as a Mechanic for motor cycles and bicycles, earning an Apprenticeship certificate. Christian then pursued higher education at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Diploma in Environmental Engineering with a focus on Renewable Energy. In addition to their formal education, Christian obtained various certifications including Certified Surveyor for Wind Turbines, IPMA Project Management Level D from the International Project Management Association, and Leadership and Management Training from Vattenfall. Christian also holds certifications in offshore fitness, rope access work, basic offshore safety training, and driver safety training, among others.
