Katharine Ballard

Katharine Ballard has extensive experience in the engineering and quality management sectors, currently serving as a Technical Leader at Owens Corning since June 2016. Previous roles at Owens Corning include Quality Manager, Quality Engineer Leader, and Process Engineer, as well as participation in the Manufacturing Leadership Program. Prior experience includes an Undergraduate Student Researcher position at GE, where a project focused on fiber orientation in polymer matrix composites, and an Engineering Intern role at Johns Manville, where leadership on multiple capital projects and safety training design were key responsibilities. Initial internships at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, through ZeroChaos, involved designing specifications and qualifying manufacturing equipment. Katharine holds a Bachelor of Science in Material Science and Engineering from Clemson University.
