Kenneth Scott Weil

Kenneth Scott Weil is a seasoned expert in innovation and sustainability technology with extensive experience in leadership roles at O-I, where current responsibilities as VP of Innovation & Sustainability Technology involve overseeing a 140-member organization focused on technological advancements and regulatory compliance. Previous positions include Business Champion & VP of Research and Innovation, where Kenneth led a 70-member team to transform manufacturing processes and enhance safety, quality, and operational value. Kenneth also served as Senior Director of Research and Product Innovation, shaping product vision and aligning R&D with market needs, and as Director of Science, overseeing research teams and strategic initiatives. Prior roles include Management & Operations Staff at the U.S. Department of Energy and Chief Scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Kenneth holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, a Master of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering, and a PhD in Materials Science from Carnegie Mellon University, along with a certification in Change Management from Cornell University.
