Ioannis Nikolaou

Ioannis Nikolaou has been working in the field of Human Resources Management and Organizational Behaviour since 1998. Ioannis started their career as a Research Assistant at the Manchester School of Management, working on a project led by Prof. Ivan T. Robertson. In 2001, they moved to PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Assistant Manager in Human Resources Consulting. In 2003, they became the Training & Development Manager at Marfin Egnatia Bank. In 2004, they began working at the Athens University of Economics and Business as a Professor of Human Resources Management & Organizational Behaviour, a Director of MSc in Human Resource Management, an Associate Professor in Organizational Behaviour, a Career Office Academic Director and an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior. In 2013, they co-founded Job Pairs | Δημιουργίας ευκαιρίες, and in 2015 they became the Chief Science Officer at Owiwi:Hire Once. In 2018, they were appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Selection and Assessment. In 2019, they became a Visiting Professor at the University of Valencia, teaching the course of Employee Recruitment and Selection. In 2022, they will become a Visiting Professor at the University of Cyprus, teaching the course of Employee Selection & Succession Planning.

Ioannis Nikolaou received their PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The University of Manchester in 1999. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Organizational Psychology from The University of Manchester in 1995. Ioannis also earned a Ptychio in Psychology from the University of Crete in 1993.
