Owkin
Maria Teleńczuk is a Senior Research Scientist in AI at Owkin since May 2021, focusing on AI engineering, data science in collaboration with pharmaceutical partners, and software and machine learning engineering, particularly developing open-source libraries like PyDeseq2 and Flamby. Previously, Maria served as a Research Scientist in Machine Learning and a Machine Learning Engineer at Owkin, contributing significantly to key projects. As a co-lead organizer for PyLadies Paris since February 2020, Maria promotes networking and education for women in Python programming. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Engineer at Inria, where software development and machine learning efforts were coordinated, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, generating computational models in systems neuroscience. An initial research assistantship at Technische Universität Berlin focused on brain-computer interface applications. Maria holds a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from Sorbonne University, an MSc from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and a BSc from Munster Technological University.
