Janae Tapley Sorenson

Janae Tapley Sorenson is a highly experienced professional in the insurance industry. Janae has worked in various roles since 2000, beginning with a Regional Manager position at Lincoln Financial Group. In 2008, they became the President and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Blue Cross Blue Shield, where they increased new sales premium by more than 269% in three years. In 2012, they were appointed Pacific Northwest Regional Manager at Mutual of Omaha, and in 2014, they became Vice President of the Human Capital Practice at Willis. In 2016, they moved to Parker, Smith & Feek as Vice President, helping employers develop employee benefit strategies. In 2019, they joined Aon as Vice President of the NW Middle Market, and in 2020, they became Vice President of Distribution Strategy and General Manager of Ancillary Markets at BCS Financial Corporation. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Vice President of Growth at owl.co, a leading insurtech company, where they are responsible for business development, distribution strategy and partnership development.
