Joel Christian

Joel Christian has diverse work experience in software engineering. Joel is currently a Software Engineer at Owl Cyber Defense. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at L3Harris Technologies, where they demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills while being responsible for major implementation and troubleshooting tasks. Joel also worked as a Software Engineer at Draper, contributing to the development of mobile situational awareness applications and providing DevOps support. Earlier in their career, Joel worked at Vanguard, where they served as a Software Developer II, supporting the adoption of internal PaaS offerings and troubleshooting infrastructure issues. Joel also worked as a Software Developer at Vanguard, providing support for project startup tasks and maintaining Pivotal Cloud Foundry installations. Before joining Vanguard, Joel worked as a Software Engineer at IntegriChain, focusing on developing a software product for the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Physics Research Assistant at Haverford College, where they contributed to radiative transfer simulations and parameterized relationships in CO line emission.

Joel Christian pursued their education in a meticulous manner, beginning with their undergraduate studies at Haverford College from 2011 to 2015. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics with a minor in Computer Science. Displaying their passion for academia, Joel later enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they commenced their Master of Science (MS) program in Computer Science in 2018. Joel is expected to complete their degree and conclude their educational journey in 2023.
