Alan Kirshenbaum

Alan Kirshenbaum has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry. Alan currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Owl Rock and has previously held the same position at TPG Specialty Lending and TPG Special Situations Partners.

Kirshenbaum began their career in the early 1990s, working in various analyst roles at firms such as Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers. In 2001, they became a Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston. Alan then spent several years as a Partner and Managing Director at Hildene Capital Management before moving to TPG in 2011.

At TPG, Kirshenbaum was responsible for all forecasting and modeling for the TSSP platform. Alan also oversaw SEC reporting, GAAP accounting, and tax compliance for TPG Specialty Lending. In 2013, they were instrumental in taking the company public.

Kirshenbaum relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2015 to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer at Owl Rock. In this role, they are responsible for financial planning and analysis, SEC reporting, investor relations, and treasury functions.

Alan Kirshenbaum received their MBA in Finance and Economics from NYU Stern School of Business and their BS in Accounting from Rutgers University. Alan is a Certified Public Accountant.

They are on a team with Vin Cataldo - Managing Director, Lukas Spiss - Managing Director, and David Jar - Managing Director. Alan Kirshenbaum reports to Douglas I. Ostrover, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer.
