Lara Pocock

Lara Pocock has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Lara started their career as an Assistant Editor at European Bloodstock News, where they formatted and edited publications and assisted with advertising sales. Lara then moved on to become an Editor at ANZ Bloodstock News, where they were responsible for managing content production and advertising budgets.

In 2014, Lara became the Membership Manager at the British Equine Veterinary Association, where they led membership engagement and digital communications. Lara also played a role in organizing BEVA Congress, a prominent veterinary conference.

From 2013 to 2019, Lara worked as a Senior Editor for SIRECAM (EUROPE) LIMITED, handling freelance writing and editing projects. During this time, they contributed to various scripts, pitches, press releases, and website copy.

Lara's experience at the Royal Society of Chemistry involved working on the development and expansion of the Chemists' Community Fund as a Project Development Specialist. Lara collaborated with local networks to introduce wellbeing workshops and presented proposals to stakeholders.

For the past decade, Lara has also worked as a Private Tutor at Tutor Doctor, where they tailored sessions to meet the needs of students and provided academic support in subjects like Maths, English, and Science. Lara won the Cambridgeshire Tutor of the Year award in 2013.

Currently, Lara holds the position of Head of Marketing at Owlstone Medical. Lara previously served as Marketing Operations Manager, where their responsibilities included developing marketing strategies, managing the marketing team and budget, executing marketing campaigns, and measuring program success.

Lara Pocock completed their undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences at the University of Reading from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Equine Science at the Royal Agricultural University from 2008 to 2009.
