Lauren Brown serves as the Head of Operational Capability at Owlstone Medical, where responsibilities include leading the Analytical Validity and Compliance Group and overseeing strategic direction, resourcing plans, and budgeting. With a robust background in product development, Lauren launched hydrogen/methane breath testing for digestive health and developed a mass spectrometry platform while managing multiple client contracts, including those with major pharmaceutical companies. Prior roles include Senior Applications Chemist and Applications Chemist, contributing to product development and technical support. An academic foundation includes a PhD in Analytical Chemistry and a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Science, with specializations in mass spectrometry, ion mobility spectrometry, and analytical methods development.
