Matt Briner

Matt Briner, SPHR has over 15 years of work experience in various human resources roles. Matt is currently the Director of Human Resources at OWN, Inc., where they are responsible for developing and executing talent management strategies and leading a high-performing team. Prior to that, Matt served as the Director of Human Resources at UGA Finance, overseeing HR functions for the organization. Matt also worked as a Human Resources Partner at Burns & McDonnell and as a Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor at H&R Block. Earlier in their career, Matt held roles as a Senior Recruiter at PNC Bank, an HR Generalist at Thomson Reuters, and a Senior Recruiter at TEKsystems. Throughout their career, Matt has demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational strategy.

Matt Briner, SPHR, has a Master of Education degree in Learning Technologies and Design from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Matt also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the same university. Additionally, they have obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
