Dennis Blinn

Dennis Blinn is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sports management and administration. Currently serving as Vice President of Partnerships, Finance, and Administration at Own The Podium since May 2022, Blinn previously held the position of Director of High Performance and Major Games at Sport Canada from 2009 to May 2022. In this role, Blinn oversaw Sport Canada's initiatives in High Performance Sport, collaborating with stakeholders such as the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Committees and National Sport Organizations, while also managing the Government of Canada's participation in major games bids. Earlier roles at Sport Canada included Manager of Stakeholder Relations for the 2015 Pan/Parapan Am Games and Senior Policy Officer, where Blinn focused on federal-provincial sports policy issues. Blinn's career began at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, administering a national research grants program. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and Kinesiology from Dalhousie University.
