Vice President, Marketplace Lending at Own Up

Dan Silva's work experience begins in 2003 when they worked in operations support for Mortgage Lenders Network. Dan then worked as an account executive for Countrywide Home Loans from 2006 to 2008. After that, they became an account executive for Florida Capital Bank Mortgage from 2008 to 2011. In 2011, they joined Webster Bank as a mortgage loan officer.

In 2013, Dan Silva joined United Bank as an assistant vice president of direct sales, where they developed relationships with customers and managed the direct sales channel. Dan then became the customer care center director and oversaw daily operations of the bank call center. In 2018, they transitioned to become a senior vice president of consumer direct lending, where they successfully implemented direct-to-consumer lending models and developed the bank's online mortgage channel.

In 2019, Dan Silva joined People's United Bank as a vice president and senior manager of direct lending. Dan successfully launched the direct-to-consumer mortgage and home equity lending model, which accounted for over $300 million in funded loan volume within 12 months of launch.

Most recently, in 2022, Dan Silva joined Own Up as the vice president of marketplace lending. Own Up is a concierge mortgage shopping company that focuses on streamlining the origination process for lenders while offering borrowers tools to find out loan eligibility and compare pre-qualified loan offers.

Throughout their career, Dan Silva has gained experience in various roles related to mortgage lending, sales, and customer service, consistently achieving success and driving growth in their positions.

Dan Silva attended Eastern Connecticut State University from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics. Dan then attended Plymouth State University in 1999-2000 but did not complete a degree. In 2014, Dan attended the CSFM class of 2016, without pursuing a specific degree or field of study.
