Jason Smith

Jason Smith has over 15 years of work experience in the technology industry. Jason began their career in 2005 as a Computing Assistant at the University of Waterloo and a Junior Analyst at Embarcadero Technologies. In 2007, they held the role of CBT Instructional Designer at Ontario Power Generation, Software Developer at OpenText, and Software Development Engineer at Amazon. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at TrustPoint Innovation Technologies, Ltd. as a Director of Product Development, Manager of Software Development, and Senior Software Developer. From 2017 to 2019, they were the Director of Innovation at iS5 Communications Inc. and currently holds the role of Chief Technology Officer at OwnersBox since 2021.

Jason Smith obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in 2009. In 2018, they completed the Strong Leaders program at the Communitech Academy. In 2019, they completed the Product Management Fundamentals program at the Communitech Academy. In 2021, they completed the Growth Through People program at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. Jason also holds certifications from Scaled Agile, Inc., including Certified SAFe 5 Program Consultant, Certified SAFe 5 Agilist, and Leading SAFe (4.6).
