Sophie Kuemmel

Sophie K. has developed a strong foundation in sustainability and project management through a range of impactful experiences. At ALBA, Sophie focused on implementing the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) as a Working Student in Sustainability and Quality Management. Prior experience includes an internship at Covestro, where Sophie coordinated a strategic project to integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals into the company's innovation process, supporting cross-functional teams and senior management communications. Additionally, at Bahama GmbH, Sophie led a project on an innovative parasol design, and at JUL DESIGNS, handled various tasks for an accessories company including online shop management and social media marketing. Sophie holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Sustainability from Hochschule Bochum and a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile and Clothing Management from Hochschule Niederrhein, with further academic experience from Universidad Camilo José Cela.
