Tara Torrens

Tara Torrens serves as a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Capital Group | American Funds since August 2003, specializing in high yield investments and is a member of the Fixed Income Management Committee and the Capital Group Board of Directors. With a background in fixed income research, Tara previously held the position of Fixed Income Research Director. In addition to roles at Capital Group, Tara has been a Board Member at Oxfam America since June 2016, where responsibilities include Chairing the Investment Committee and participating in the Board Development and Governance Committee. Tara began their career as a Summer Intern and Assistant Portfolio Manager at Deerfield Capital Management in 2002. Educational qualifications include an MS in Finance (2001-2003) and a BBA in Finance (1997-2001) from the Wisconsin School of Business, alongside the CFA designation obtained in 2004.
