Rodrigo Barahona has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector. Rodrigo started their career at ODHAG as the Coordinator of Mental Health and Community Empowerment programs. Rodrigo managed a team of 15 people and 200 volunteers, ensuring the coordination and harmonization of various funded projects. Rodrigo also engaged in political advocacy at the local and national levels.

Rodrigo then joined DIGNITY as a Strategic Development Consultant, collaborating with country teams and donors to design intervention programs and strategies. Rodrigo provided guidance on program documents, conducted field missions, facilitated communication between program representatives and donors, and systematized experience for the prevention of violence.

After that, Rodrigo worked at Oxfam Intermon, where they held multiple roles. Rodrigo served as the Global Citizenship Education Thematic Development Lead, leading the development of educational programs on global citizenship. Rodrigo also worked as a Campaign Lead for the Even it Up! Campaign, advocating for social justice. Later, Rodrigo joined Oxfam as a Digital Influencing MEL Coordinator, responsible for monitoring, evaluation, and learning in digital influencing initiatives.

Rodrigo's next position at Oxfam was MEAL Lead at the Campaigns and Citizenship Department. Rodrigo developed a P-MEAL framework for the department, campaigns, and programs, focusing on evaluation and learning. Rodrigo also became the Co-Chair Mel of Influencing Working Group, contributing to influencing strategies.

Most recently, Rodrigo worked at Oxfam Intermón as the Learning and Knowledge Lead, responsible for understanding the needs of different stakeholders and ensuring the identification, compilation, creation, and distribution of programmatic content. This involved liaising with various stakeholders, such as knowledge hubs, global campaigns/programs, and regional and country teams.

Throughout their career, Rodrigo has demonstrated strong expertise in program management, evaluation, learning, advocacy, and content development.

Rodrigo Barahona earned a Master de Investigación en Psicología social from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona in 2008-2009 and a Master en Políticas Sociales y Comunitarias from the same university in 2005-2007.
