Shantanu Barua

Shantanu Barua has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Shantanu recently joined Oxfam in 2023 as the Head of Business Development. Prior to that, they worked at BRAC from 2020 to 2022 as the Head of Grant. From 2015 to 2019, they held the position of Deputy Director, Strategic Portfolio & Awards Management at Save the Children in Bangladesh. Shantanu also worked at Pathfinder International as a Capacity Building Manager from 2013 to 2015. Before that, they served as an Economic Development Expert at UNDP from 2008 to 2013. Shantanu gained experience in finance as the Director Finance at PROTTYASHI from 2006 to 2008. Shantanu also worked at CARE Bangladesh as a Project Development Officer Partnerships from 2002 to 2006. Furthermore, they started their career at World Vision as a Commodity Officer from 2000 to 2002 and at Integrated Development Foundation as a Program Officer from 1997 to 2000.

Shantanu Barua holds a Masters of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of Chittagong. Shantanu also has a Masters in Development Studies from Southeast University.
