Matthew Ward

Matthew Ward is a Senior Analyst at Oxford Analytica with extensive experience in East and Central Africa. Prior to this role, Matthew worked at the United Nations for seven years, holding positions such as Deputy Head of UNOCC Research and Liaison Unit, Special Assistant to the Deputy SRSG/Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, and Operations Officer at the Peacekeeping Situation Centre. Matthew also worked as a Research and Editorial Associate at the European Centre for Minority Issues. Matthew holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Politics from The University of Edinburgh, a Master of Science in Politics from The University of Edinburgh, a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Laws in Law from Newcastle University.
