William Scheckel has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. William began their career in 1994 by founding their own strategic marketing agency, William Scheckel & Associates, where they provided services such as digital marketing strategy, customer retention, crisis communications, and nation branding. During this time, they launched 71 websites for clients, including Shell.

In 2002, Scheckel took on the role of Press & Communications Coordinator at the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, Office of the Attorney General. There, they led a team of four to improve communication with policy makers, advocates, and attorneys through outreach and digital marketing initiatives. William achieved success by rebranding collateral, creating community-focused events, implementing direct mail programs, and relaunching the agency's website, resulting in a significant increase in website traffic.

Following this role, Scheckel joined SAP Global Marketing in 2006 as Chief of Staff for the Chief Marketing Officer. William managed the operations of SAP's global marketing team and played a crucial role in co-authoring the go-to-market strategy for the rollout of the SAP Business ByDesign global SaaS product, which attracted 500 new long-term SME customers.

In 2007, Scheckel transitioned to working independently as a Global Brand Catalyst, providing marketing and business development counsel to small and medium-sized companies. William worked on various projects, including the development of a marketing plan, branding strategy, collateral, and PR coordination for Proclivity Systems, a predictive CRM software company.

In 2011, Scheckel took on multiple roles simultaneously. William became the Vice President of Corporate Marketing at SEEBURGER AG, an established German B2B software company, where they centralized the global marketing team, developed global go-to-market strategies, and increased marketing ROI by 15%. Additionally, they co-founded TreveriMarket SA, an investment funding platform, where they were responsible for business development, partnership marketing, client acquisition, and digital marketing. Under their leadership, TreveriMarket acquired deals worth $370 million.

From 2010 to 2021, Scheckel served as an Adjunct Professor at the New York Institute of Technology, creating and teaching the "Social Media for Business" graduate and undergraduate seminar curricula. William consistently received high ratings and was frequently invited by the university to speak at press events and school-sponsored events on digital life and social media.

Most recently, in 2013, Scheckel joined Oxford Biochronometrics S.A. as the Chief Marketing Officer, making him the first hire for this cybersecurity and ad-tech start-up. In this role, they led marketing, client onboarding, fundraising, business development, and go-to-market strategies for multiple cloud-based/SaaS products. William successfully launched two lines of business addressing the ad-fraud and spam prevention needs of enterprise and SMB clients, and implemented digital campaigns that converted thousands of small companies and enterprise clients into paying customers.

In 2021, Scheckel began working as a Digital Marketing Consultant for Able Care Group LLC, where they contribute their expertise in digital marketing.

William Scheckel attended the University of Chicago from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. William then pursued further education at the University of Konstanz from 1996 to 1998, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Sociology.
