Alessandra Palidda

Alessandra Palidda is a dedicated academic with extensive expertise in historical musicology, cultural and social history of music, and music print culture. Currently serving as an Associate Researcher at The University of Manchester since September 2023, Alessandra also holds positions as an Associate Lecturer and Lecturer in Music at Oxford Brookes University since September 2018, where responsibilities include teaching Historical Musicology and Opera Studies, as well as coordinating the MA Music program. Additional experience includes being a Festival Assistant at Brecon Baroque, a Lecturer at The University of Sheffield, and a former choir member with prestigious ensembles such as Coro Sinfonico di Milano and BBC. Alessandra's educational background includes a PhD in Historical Musicology from Cardiff University, alongside degrees from multiple institutions in Musicology and related disciplines.
