Richard King

Richard King has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and technology. Richard is currently working as the Head of Information Security Management at Oxford Brookes University since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at RM plc for over a decade where they held various roles, including Group Head of Security, Security Manager, Technical Architect, Senior Infrastructure Engineer, and NOC Systems Engineer. Richard also started their career as a Graduate IT Consultant at Hewlett-Packard in 2007.

Richard King's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science & Japanese Language and Contemporary Society from Oxford Brookes University, which they completed from 2003 to 2007. During their time at Oxford Brookes University, they also participated in an International Exchange Program at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies, where they obtained a certificate in Japanese Language and Society from 2005 to 2006. Prior to that, they attended Philip Morant School and Sixth Form College from 1995 to 2002, studying Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, General Studies, and Cisco CCNA. Additionally, Richard has obtained various certifications in fields such as cybersecurity, IT service management, network administration, and Microsoft technologies.
