Mish Tullar has a diverse range of work experience in various companies and positions. Mish started their career in 1991 as a Broadcasting Officer for The Labour Party before moving on to roles such as Head of Media Relations at BNFL Magnox, Head of Public Affairs at BG Group, and Director of Communications at Amey. Tullar then joined British Gas as Director of Communications from 2004 to 2007. Mish also worked at Centrica as Group Director of Media Relations for nearly a decade and had a brief secondment at Direct Energy as VP Media Relations. Tullar's experience in the energy sector continued as they became Director of Media and External Relations at Royal Mail from 2012 to 2016. Most recently, they have been with Oxford City Council as the Head of Communications, Partnerships & Policy before transitioning to their current role as Head of Corporate Strategy. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in media relations, communications, policy development, and strategic partnerships.

Mish Tullar completed an Executive Leadership Development Programme in Business at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford from 2015 to 2016. Earlier, from 1988 to 1989, they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd. They also obtained a BSc Hons degree in Geology from the University of Birmingham, studying from 1981 to 1986.
