Josef Schmalfuss

Josef Schmalfuss is the Founder and CEO of Oxford DataPlan, a company dedicated to tracking revenue and key performance indicators for over 150 listed companies globally, while also providing deep sector analyses and forecasts. In addition to this role, Josef serves as a Guest Lecturer and Alternative Data Expert at the University of Oxford, teaching on the subject of alternative data in fundamental investing. Previously, Josef co-founded Portsea Asset Management, a long/short equity hedge fund, where significant contributions were made to the use of alternative data in investment strategies. Additional experience includes positions as an Investment Analyst and Trader at QVT Financial LP and Barclays Capital, respectively. Josef holds a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge and completed A-Level studies at Shebbear College.
