Megan Stearman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Megan started their career as the Marketing Director at the Mount Vernon Cultural District, where they oversaw all marketing efforts and coordinated co-op marketing campaigns. Megan then worked as the Business & Economic Development Manager at the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, managing economic development projects and acting as a liaison to the small business community. Megan then became the Manager of Business Development at the South Side Local Development Company, where they managed the award-winning East Carson Street Main Street program and strengthened relationships with stakeholders. Megan later joined the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, initially as a Mainstreets Development Specialist, providing technical assistance to business district organizations and managing the development of revitalization strategies. Megan was later promoted to Senior Communications and Property Marketing Specialist, responsible for implementing marketing strategies and leading special projects. Megan also founded their own business, Turtle Moon Sleep Consulting, offering customized sleep solutions for children. Currently, Megan serves as the Vice President of Communications and Corporate Responsibility at the Oxford Development Company, where they develop marketing strategies, oversees communications and public relations, and contributes to the company's strategic planning.
Megan Stearman pursued their undergraduate education at Bethany College from 1995 to 1999, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communications. In addition to their degree, they received a certification as a LEED Green Associate from the U.S. Green Building Council in March 2017.
