Katja Nenonen

Katja Nenonen has extensive experience in production engineering and R&D, currently serving as the Head of Global Production Engineering at Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science since June 2017, following roles as Senior R&D Production Engineer and Global Production and Service Support team leader. With a long tenure at Oxford Instruments since September 2006, Katja has held positions including Senior R&D Production Engineer and LIBS production team leader, focusing on technical support, training, new product manufacturability, design of test systems, and quality control. Prior experience includes work as a Calibration Optimisation Engineer and XRF calibrator, contributing to the maintenance and improvement of production processes. Katja's career began at the Finnish Food Safety Authority EVIRA as a laboratory technician in the Department of Virology. Katja holds a Bachelor of Laboratory Sciences degree in chemical analysis and biosciences from Stadia University of Applied Sciences, earned between 2000 and 2003.
