Paul Trimble

Paul Trimble has over 20 years of experience in the field of optical fibre technology. From 1998 to 2000, they worked as a Fibre Optic Technician at HUBER + SUHNER (UK) LIMITED, where they had responsibility for the maintenance of an existing fibre optic termination line, and for introducing new procedures and fibre technology to the production line. From 2000 to 2001, they worked as an Optical Fibre Technician R&D at JDS Uniphase, where they were responsible for developing existing fibre termination lines, and for researching and introducing new procedures and technologies, ensuring quality of work and appropriate training for the production staff. From 2001 to 2002, they worked as a Laser Process Engineer at Exitech, where their main responsibilities were to carry out research on laser applications and techniques as part of customer research trials and for internal company research. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as a Specialist Diagnostic Technician at UKAEA, Culham, where they acquired primary responsibility for the hardware of four diagnostic systems. From 2005 to 2017, they worked as a Senior Mechanical Technician at STFC Central Laser Facility. Lastly, from 2020 to present, they have been working as a Lead Technician and Opto Mechanical Technician at Oxford Ionics.

Paul Trimble completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering from the University of the West of England between 2019 and 2020.
