Gareth Jones

Gareth Jones is an experienced professional in the field of machine learning and data science, currently serving as Lead ML Engineer at Oxford Medical Simulation since September 2023. Previously, Gareth held the position of Head of Data Science at Sward, a venture-capital-backed climate fintech firm, during 2022. Prior roles include Machine Learning Team Lead and Machine Learning Engineer at Feebris, and Data Scientist at Data Science Retreat. Additionally, Gareth has experience as East Africa Regional Manager for Global Malaria at the Clinton Health Access Initiative and as a Senior Consultant at Monitor Group. Earlier career milestones include a Defence Aerospace Performance Engineer role at Rolls-Royce and a gap year internship at KPMG in financial services audit. Gareth holds a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, completed in 2012.
