Amber Leckenby's work experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist and Bioinformatics Research Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies starting in 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Lecturer of Biomedical Science at the University of Bradford from 2018 to 2019. Amber also served as a Bioinformatics Workshop Teacher at the Centre for Genomic Research in 2018, where they taught practical computer sessions and provided guidance and support to delegates. Amber then continued their education at the same university from 2014 to 2015, pursuing a Master's degree in MRes Biological Sciences with a focus on Functional and Comparative Genomics. Finally, Amber completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Genomic Sciences/Genomics at the University of Liverpool from 2015 to 2018.
