Emeraldo Jo

Emeraldo Jo serves as a Technical Application Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies since March 2024, previously holding the position of Senior Application Scientist at Singleron Biotechnologies from January 2022 to January 2024, where responsibilities included FAS&TAS for single cell RNA sequencing solutions. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Telexos from September 2019 to August 2021, focusing on the research and development of diagnostic systems for rare Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs). Emeraldo Jo completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiological Sciences and Immunology at Friedrich Schiller University Jena from 2013 to 2017 and holds a Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Groningen. Early academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology from Institut Teknologi Bandung and high school education in Natural Sciences at SMU Kolese Kanisius. Notable achievements include participation in the iGEM Competition, earning gold medals at both the European and World Jamborees in 2012.
