Jacek Klos-Wygas

Jacek Klos-Wygas has a diverse work experience that includes roles in various industries. Jacek started their career at Thai Union, where they worked as a Logistics team member, handling the preparation and documentation for transport. Jacek then joined McDonald's Corporation as a Crew Member, gaining experience in different roles within the restaurant and performing quality measures. Jacek worked at Aberystwyth University as a Laboratory Demonstrator, assisting in practical classes and ensuring the setup and maintenance of the laboratory. Jacek then moved on to One Scientific Ltd, where they worked as a QC Microbiology Laboratory Technician, performing microbial testing and identification. Currently, Jacek is with Oxford Nanopore Technologies, where they hold the positions of QC Sequencing and Validation Scientist as well as Development Scientist.

Jacek Klos-Wygas has obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Genetics and Biochemistry from Aberystwyth University, completing their studies in 2017. Prior to that, they attended the Inverness Language Centre from 2013 to 2014, where they earned a First Certificate in English (B2 level). In 2010, Jacek began their education at II Liceum Ogólnokształcące w Zielonej Górze, specializing in Advanced Biology and Advanced Chemistry. Jacek did not earn a specific degree from this institution. Continuing their educational journey, Jacek pursued a Master of Research (MRes) degree in Research in Biosciences at Aberystwyth University, which they completed in 2019.
